White & Yellow Tea

Taste 2021 white tea 100g

from $9.00

Ready to taste something incredibly unique? It is our very first sun-dried white tea pressing and it has named itself “Taste” and we could not be more excited to offer this to you.

Prepare yourself for a wonderfully rare and invigorating white tea experience. Fruity, sweet and full-bodied, this leaf originates from a tea garden that produces some of our exclusive ripe tea selections. Pristine soil and air conditions in Menghai coupled with pure Assamica tea plants, yields a fantastic tea. This gorgeous leaf was picked and processed in April of 2021 and pressed at the pu’er workshop on 11/15/2021.

We really enjoy the rich sugarcane and honey notes, almost rum-like, that run along side the hints of vanilla and oceanside minerality. It’s just such a gentle tea, though higher water temps will definitely bring out slight astringent notes for lovers of that edge. There is a lingering sweetness that lies full on the tongue long after swallowing.

Capable of many infusions, this tea is an incredible buy and will age very nicely, much like a pu’er tea. Experiment with water temps, for sure. I recommend beginning with temps of 195F and increasing temps in later infusions. Try brewing it grandpa style as well - so good!
